war in Lebanon 2006.

Sunday August 6, 2006. I believe this was one of the biggest days in the history of Montreal, Quebec protests, when more than 15 thousand Montrealers marched hand in hand calling for Justice and Peace in the Lebanon. This is the second protest against the war in Lebanon. The demonstration started peacefully at the Parc La Fontaine in downtown. More than 60 community organizations, Quebec associations, Québec syndicate, opposition political parties both provincial and federal leaders and representatives participated. Among the participants Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss from New York carried the lead banner and walked with Imam Sayed Fawaz, Nabil Abbas leading the peaceful demonstration. He asked is this how we pay back the hospitality that Muslim nation, our cousins have shown us for hundreds of years? We always have coexisted in harmony. He added and insisted that a Jew not a Zionist.
